It's Almost, Time To Apply For Heating Assistance.
September is usually the best time to make an appointment to apply. Apply as soon as possible; every year. My state accepts applications through November. But don't wait.
In NJ, everyone that's financially eligible gets the heating assistance, but if one gets a doctors note saying it's medically necessary they can also get cooling (electric assistance), in the hot summer weather. Check out what your state offers.

The Adopt a Bubbe (or Zayde) program reaches out to elderly Jews and the handicapped in Ukraine and Belarus.
"Action" recruits coordinators who know their Jewish community, and asks them to find the most vulnerable Jewish retirees who need help. Many live on their own in poor conditions and some are unable to leave their homes.
With "Action" funds, coordinators purchase and deliver fresh fruits, vegetables, cheese and meats directly to their homes. When needed, "Action" has also provided eyeglasses or hearing aids, a lamp to read by, or coal for heat in the winter months.
One could almost say that; Action For Post-Soviet Jewry, works with clients one shovel or one fresh chicken, or one pair of eyeglasses at a time.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
In NJ everyone financially eligible gets the heating assistance, but if one gets a doctors note saying it's medically necessary they can also get cooling (electric assistance), in the hot summer weather. Check out what your state offers. Apply Now.
I applied a month ago. I get it every year so they send me a notice when it's time to apply again. Benefits are on a first come first serve basis, so the next few weeks is the latest time to apply for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
September is usually the best time to make an appointment to apply.
Apply as soon as possible; every year, although there is still time to apply. My state accepts applications through November. But don't wait.

For President Obama and Family You're all Beautiful!
I Want To Tell President Obama That He's doing A Great Job!
I heard that he likes good music. Another thing we have in common.
I know he's on a Mission to bring the world into the 21st century.
the world seems to have lost our ability to communicate with each other!
And that I'm fired up, I'm ready to help the world change their lives.
George Orwell called it in his book 1984. He even gave us a time frame. It wasn't hard for him to imagine this book. His world in Europe was already like that.
It is a new world today. Although it has been very oppressive out there even after the enlightened thinking of the sixties!
The hippies came and went, they got tired of being bludgeoned to death Literally But while it lasted we did good.
We made a dent in the politics of the time. And with the help of teachers, like Dr. King, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and many others, who paved the road for us, my generation left our stamp on History.
It can happen again we just have to get people educated. Education is the key to success. Knowledge is Power! If you control a Persons thoughts you control them!
Art and literature are the road map for the development of mankind
The more you read the smarter you get. It's a scientific fact. It stimulates the brain and helps it grow.
We all learn from each other. I'm no brain, but I've seen and read about life. It gave me a foundation to base my opinions and actions on. Experience is a great teacher but It takes too long. An education teaches one about the experiences of others. And Art; well Art, is what brought the world out of the dark ages. and music is the history of the world!
Change will happen. You are the kind of President who can bring this about because you are very well educated. Knowledge is Power!
I just wanted to say that you and (Delaware) Joe, (I love Vice Pres Biden, I'm from NJ so I know how cool he is) are doing a great job!
I know you are an honest man! I can see it by looking at you. I'm old, I've been around. I've seen everything, I know a lot. I don't live in La La Land! I know the streets. Ran them long enough. I want to help today's kids because there is absolutely no reason they should be shooting and killing each other.
Ok if they don't like school your idea of a year of vocational training is brilliant. Everybody has some talent. Something they excel at. The trick is finding and developing it! The young people of America are our future and too beautiful to die young from unnecessary things like drugs and violence!
Good luck with the medical coverage plan. I think that the public option, giving people a chance to get coverage from companies like Blue Cross is a great idea. By the time it is finished, you will work out something that makes everyone happy.
I know that you took this job; not for glory or money, but because you wanted to help people! You know that American's really need good medical coverage. Anyway it costs more in the long run if people can't afford to go to a doctor. They just get sicker and need additional care.
On Inauguration day you told everyone that you loved us. Thank you so much.

Decide how much you can spend on advertising and what is available for free. Produce fliers and distribute them. You can mail them out, post them on bulletin boards or hand them out.
Make tickets that you can sell for the event. Many people will buy tickets, even if they are unable to attend the event.
Submit the event information to any and all community calendars. Generally, there is no charge for this service.
Use the internet to announce the event.
If you send an email to your friends and they send an email to their friends, the word will get out to a lot of extra individuals.
Ask local businesses to sponsor your event. If they provide the money, they can write it off as an advertising expense and you can promote their generosity along with your event.
Publicity For Your Organization & Event
Publicity goes hand in hand with promotion, but it also goes a step further.
Radio station and local television promotions reach the greatest audience. Contact program directors about running promotional messages and the possibility of broadcasts from your event.

My beloved Asbury Park! When I was eleven, I used to shop on the beautiful streets of Asbury Park with my Mother and Father and run all over it's boardwalk!
Asbury Park had a Beautiful Shopping Section. Right up the block from the boardwalk. I still see that beautiful avenue lined with stores and the boardwalk at the end; with the ocean, in my dreams!
I loved the Swan Boats on the little lake, but my Mother would never let me go on them. She always said you can drown too easy in a lake, because it's fresh water and doesn't buoy you up like the salt water does. Oddly; she never noticed, when I was out so far I was swinging on the ropes in the ocean.
This really isn't about just a few people suffering; this is about a huge number of people suffering! There are huge populations whom are affected by the destruction of humanity all over the country unnecessarily! We all need to unite to end this horror that has become everyday life everywhere in the United States, (and all over the world too), there has to be a stop to this!

I most seriously have to ask, WHY? ie in the one arrest, they went to all the trouble of selling drugs. Hard work and dangerous too; especially, nowadays and the heroin and cocaine was only worth $3,800!

$3,800 is totally chump change. The darn guns cost that much and the guns are what's gonna get these guys the big jail time! Scary guns! And they probably have no money and will have to use a Legal Aid Lawyer! These dealers are definitely their own best customers and these drugs are; really, bad!
Voice of experience here; way back in the 60's, when the drugs were real, not synthetic! When I think back on all the times i almost got killed (literally), I scare myself and wonder how I was ever so dumb!

I know this street. One of the few remaining blocks with un-renovated, tenement buildings and I mean slums!
Avenue C is the oldest street in Bayonne. It was the first and only street. The buildings on it were that old. The entire area has burned down since the 1960's. What didn't burn down was "renovated"! I'm not surprised, bad electric wiring. That's what happened to the entire avenue from about 18th to 26th Streets.
The first photo shows the buildings where the fire occurred. The other photos show opposite sides of the street, that at one time were tenements, and became houses in about 1965.
